| The Verona Area Performing Arts Series presented its first concert in July, 1998, and followed with its first concert series in January 1999. We now enter our ninth season with what we consider to be one of our finest. Our mission is to provide varied cultural and performing programs in music, dance, and drama within our community. We strive to present a series of high quality entertainment from across our nation. VAPAS also supports education in the arts in our area schools, and often contracts with our visiting artists to conduct a clinic for students prior to their concert. Last year the All American Boys Chorus gave a clinic for our Middle School Choirs and they joined the AABC in the performance. This year two groups will work with community choirs: The Christmas concert featuring Christine Lavin will also present local church choirs as well as school choirs. Then in March, Toxic Audio will present a clinic for the High School choir in the afternoon of their show.
Our series would not be possible without the generous support of many individuals, businesses and corporations in our community. We thank each of them for their support. As a volunteer organization, we welcome your comments and suggestions for future shows. We hope you enjoy each of our shows.
