American English Saturday, February 4, 2012 The American English concert performers come to us from Chicagoland. Their performance includes songs covering the entire career of The Beatles from 1963-1970. Attention is given to every musical detail, as well as costume changes, vintage instruments and special effects. American English magically creates “The Complete Beatles Tribute.” They have been voted #1 by Beatles fans as winners of sound alike contests. They have won Illinois Entertainer of the Year and have been voted “Best Tribute Band” three of the last four years in the Chicagoland area. They perform both in the states and abroad. The members include Eric Michaels as Paul McCartney, an incredibly versatile vocalist and multitalented instrumentalist;, Danny Leavitt as George Harrison, a master guitarist, satirist and vocalist; Tom Gable as Ringo Starr, replicating that wild drumming style we remember and Frank Canino as John Lennon closely resembling him in looks, sound and personality. Ken Zemanek, the Korg keyboardist, will dazzle us with his orchestrations and special effects! “American English is the best Beatles show on the planet! They are the Beatles Incarnate!” said Sam Leach, original promoter of the Beatles and founder of the Merseybeat movement and author of "The Birth of the Beatles" What audiences are saying: "American English is the best Beatles show on the planet! They are The Beatles Incarnate!” - Sam Leach, original promoter of the Beatles and founder of the Merseybeat movement and author of "The Birth of the Beatles." "I have been in radio for well over 30 years, I have seen the Beatles, and have seen many other Beatles tribute bands, but there is none better than American English! They have it down, and they are a great sample of the Beatles incarnate!! I am proud to work with them when they come to town, which is usually twice a year!!" - Big Al Brock, Former Program Director, KLOU radio, St. Louis, MO "They made the hairs on my neck stand up" - Harry Prytherick, former Merseybeat star from the Remo Four |
