Toxic Audio Saturday, March 29, 2008, 7:30 pm Hailed by critics as a musical experience unlike any other, Toxic Audio is a five member theatrical vocal experience (a cappella) formed at the 1998 Orlando International Fringe Festival. These talented vocal virtuosos teamed up to create a unique interactive show combining dazzling harmonies, vocal sound effects and their own brand of improv comedy. Their repertoire is an eclectic mix of musical styles using only their mouths to mimic instruments. In 2003, their album Chemistry was named Album of the Year by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America. Toxic Audio won the 2004 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience for their off-Broadway show where they electrified audiences. As they continue to explore the boundaries of the human voice, these talented high-energy performers are always entertaining for audiences of all ages. In addition to their performance, the Toxins will present a clinic for our vocal students who will then share the spotlight. Website: www.toxicaudio.com |
